Silver to me represents elegance and gold represents bold statement. Because my dress was already enough to make me stand out I choose elegant silver. I also had the perfect silver pendant necklace to go with it but I couldn’t find it.

I decided to have my hair out of my face because I didn’t want it bothering me and I knew I would meeting people therefore I wanted to be comfortable and confident.

Meet Anne Malambo
This beauty was dressed for the occasion. Her elegant persona kept me engaged in our conversation. Anne is the owner of Lanterns and Lulibaies. She is a solo traveller who blogs about her experience. I think it takes a lot of courage to travel alone but she expressed that it is an amazing feeling to meet people especially being a black women. She is able to travel to different places and represent black women in a positive light to those who have negative thoughts towards us from propaganda.
Meet Priscilla Okpan.
Women’s wear designer and blogger of Kim Dave, meet Priscilla Okpan. Her newspaper crop top with a laced back attracted me to talk to her straight away! She was very welcoming and down to earth. She designs her own clothes and has a YouTube channel which I recently discovered, where she has tutorials on how to make her clothes.

In the future I plan to host my own networking events. Scarlett did not hold back when I enquired about how she was able to pull of such a successful event. It’s refreshing to be around people who are willing to be open and give you advice, I guess that’s what being a blogger is about.

Fun Time
The turn out was amazing and I wasn’t able to take pictures with everyone due to the fact that I would prefer to be present at the event. Rather then focus on taking pictures constantly.
