1) Increase Your Water Intake

For those of you who love to indulge in fizzy drinks, alcohol and energy drinks. By now you’re probably addicted to all that sugar and with that being said I’m sure you’re aware of  how bad these beverages are for your health. So the first step to a health is wealthy lifestyle is to increase your water intake.

Start: Drink a large glass of water in the morning and before you go bed.

Keep going: Start eliminating the “normal drinks” you have and replace with water.

Bored: Infuse your water. The taste of water can be very bland. So why not add some fruits. This will help flush your system whilst adding nutrition.

2) Drink Herbal teas/ Iced teas

Researchers at the University of Chicago found that dieters who were well rested lost more fat—56% of their weight loss—than those who were sleep deprived, who lost more muscle mass. (They shed similar amounts of total weight regardless of sleep.)

Dieters in the study also felt more hungry when they got less sleep.

“Sleep and metabolism are controlled by the same sectors of the brain,” Dr. Rapoport says. “When you are sleepy, certain hormones go up in your blood, and those same hormones drive appetite.”  (Sparacino, 2013)


4) Start Documenting Your Current Eating Habits.


It’s important to document your food journey for various reasons. Some of us are prone to getting sick, struggle with concentration, put on excessive weight, break out and are easily irritated. Documenting your current meals and snacks will give you an insight on to where the causes may stem from and clarity on what foods you need to eat.

Once you’ve documented this you will be able to reflect and bask in your improvements.


5) Follow Healthy Websites on all your social media accounts

Don’t let the content control you, control the content that you are exposed to. Following Facebook groups or Instagram pages that promote well-being will not only keep you on track but will motivate you daily.
