Health is Wealth: Banana & Oats

For The Uninspired Woman: When we are feeling low, uninspired and depressed the last thing we want to hear is ” Eat healthy”. We would prefer to suff our faces with oily fatty foods that make us “feel better”. Every Tuesday I will post healthy meals that you can slowly implement into your daily routine. The aim is to start small so we can really fall in love with what we put in our bodies. Remember there are various  benefits to eating healthy, not only does it provide us with nutrients that prevent us from illnesses, promotes growth and repair but it also gives us the energy we need to get through our stressful day.

This week why not challenge yourself! By adding some fruit to your breakfast. I’ve made oats with chopped up bananas, smothered in honey! 

Health Benefits

Banana

  • May improve digestive system
  • Contains powerful antioxidants
  • The fiver, potassium, vitamin C and B6 content support heart health

Oats

  • Great source of carbs and fiber
  • Can lower cholesterol levels
  • Filling and can help aid weight loss
  • May help lower blood sugar levels

Honey

  • Rich in antioxidants
  • Alternative to sugar
  • Can help suppress coughs in children
